Current Skincare Routine¦ Acne, Scarring, Dehydrated Skin

Skin is such a personal topic if you have problematic skin and if you've been a reader of mine for a while, you'll know maintaining clear, blemish free skin is always my aim.

I've been using these products since September / October 2017 and so far they haven't caused any new breakouts and are helping control and reduce my pigmentation that has been left from breakouts.

I start the day with the Dermaquest 'Essential Daily' Cleanser, I was advised by the staff at Destination Skin to use this as it would help with any treatments I was to have with them i.e. Blue Radiance Peel. However, I found that when I started using this after my trip from Dubai last year my skin did start to clear so I have gone back to this and my skin has started to clear up considerably. This cleanser contains Aloe Vera Leaf to calm the skin, Grape seed, Pineapple and Papaya extract to help exfoliate.

After this I pat my skin with a tissue and apply the Creme De La Mer Treatment Lotion, this lotion has helped my skin incredibly through intensely hydrating my skin without being sticky and feeling heavy as it is of a water texture. This product maintains it helps with texture but I think it's properties of hydrating ranks higher as I haven't experienced the former. It is on the pricey side but I have had it over a year and I'm not even half way through! The bottle is also very luxurious but I wouldn't expect any thing less from CDLM!

Once the CDLM is absorbed, I pat in The Ordinary 2% + B5. It is of a very thin gel like consistency and is perfect before make up. I find it so effective and is one of those products that does what it says! It's cheap as chips and I actually need to repurchase this but I'm thinking of trying their Niacinamide serum?

I then apply SkinCeuticals SPF 30 religiously every time I leave the house, it's moisturising without leaving a white cast or without being overly greasy. I'm on my second tube so I must love it lol, they also have a matte version which I'd like to try as well.

Now, onto my evening skincare!

I wash my face with the same cleanser as above, and remove my mascara and face base with the Nivea make up remover.

I then go over my skin with a cotton pad soaked in the The Ordinary Glycolic 7% Toning Solution, this has helped the texture of my skin incredibly. It slightly tingles but I find it removes the remaining make up I have left as well as exfoliating my skin.

After this is thoroughly absorbed, I apply the SkinCeuticals Advanced Pigment Corrector, this is my hero product! Not only does it help to remove stubborn acne marks but also prevent breakouts. It genuinely works and don't want it to finish!

Finally once all of the above is applied, I dab in my favourite eye cream, the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye cream, I've been using this for years but I think I'm finally ready to try a new eye cream. Any recommendations?
