How I Lost 1 1/2 Stones and a size 14 to a size 10 ¦ Weightloss¦ Tips¦ Diet ¦ Exercise

"It got to the point I was sick of looking over weight, sick of spilling out of my clothes, having low self esteem and feeling ugly..."



Weight issues are synonymous with men and women alike, women probably feel an increased pressure to look a certain way due to the media constantly showcasing the perfect hour glassed females or slim women in general. Even on one of the most popular social media apps, Instagram, there are a  frenzy of surgically enhanced women looking ludicrous yet simultaneously promoting "Bootea" as a means of disguising their plastic surgery?!

Needless to say, I felt the pressure and I decided rather than grin and bear it to just get up and change my lifestyle and bad habits. I didn't necessarily follow a diet plan and in no means am I proclaiming I'm the vision of health itself or an expert, this is simply for those who have been messaging for tips.

Initially, I stopped eating bread, even after a year after maintaining my 1 and a 1/2 stone weight loss I eat bread once or twice a week. I found this to really aid in my weight reduction. After this, I reduced my portions and eliminated chocolates and crisps. I still indulge once or twice a week but nothing crazy.




As well as this, I work out at least twice a week. I found it quite difficult to do this as I despised not having anyone to go to the gym with me but I overcame the fear because I was desperate and hated my big bum and stomach. I now love being alone at the gym and working out by myself. I predominately do cardio and some weights, I'm still perfecting my workouts so it literally doesn't have to be anything intense.

I feel we over think loosing weight and so in turn are not consistent and fail to see results, I did this all on and off the whole of last year and saw the weight drop off me just before Christmas. (Xmas indulgence got the better of me, so I'm still in need of shedding what I've added as well as generally being a pig).

What's more, I'm still a stone or so, away from my goal, and I will get there with dedication. You just have to stick to it and do it silently. Oh, and I've dropped from a size 14 to a size 10! Shock of my life. haha, the last time I was a size 10 was when I was 17!
